2010 GIRLS OF INNOVATION SCIENCE CHALLENGE
July 20, 2010 at the Hartford Science Center from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm.

PARTICIPANTS AND VOLUNTEERS ARE NOW BEING ARRANGED.
Participants include 30 middle school girls as well as volunteers from the Connecticut Technology Council Women of Innovation program.

Schedule of Events:
8:00-8:30 AM Arrival and registration
8:00-9:00 Breakfast, Welcome and Presentations, Covidien, Women of Innovation Volunteers
9:00-10:30 Science challenges in Exhibit Galleries: Three teams of ten young girls (they may break up into sub-teams of five at each station) each rotate through three, 20-25 minute exhibit-based science challenges* facilitated by CSC scientists and Girls of Innovation mentors.
10:30-11:00 A final challenge for each of three teams.
11:00-11:45 Wrap-up and team science Challenge results (TSH)
11:45-1:00 Lunch and social time with Volunteers
1:00-2:30 Free exploration time in exhibit galleries (TSH)
