Other IT job markets in the area had mixed results. While demand in the New York Metro area dropped 7.1%, employers in Massachusetts added a few new opportunities (up 0.7%) in November compared to October. At the national level demand slightly increased (up 1.9%) which is a good result for this time of the year.

This report is getting stale: This reportĀ seems to fit in with national trends.Ā  According to the U.S. Department of Labor, the employment change in the information industry as a whole remained relatively flat in June.Ā  Similarly, the unemployment rate stayed fairly stable, seeing a modest decrease down to 9.5%.Ā  As a state, Connecticut unemployment also remained flat at 8.8% in June. This rateĀ wasĀ 8.9% in May.
