CCAT establishes alliance with AME to promote Manufacturing and Supply Chain Development

Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology Inc. (CCAT) established an alliance with the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME) to promote manufacturing and supply chain development both locally and globally.

As alliance partners, CCAT and AME will collaborate to promote enterprise-wide best practices for North American manufacturing and supply chain organizations, encourage knowledge sharing among business enterprises for the mutual survival and growth of North American manufacturing businesses, and help organizations achieve enterprise excellence.

The alliance will allow CCAT and AME to combine their complementary strengths to stimulate supply chain and manufacturing development through events and publications. CCAT provides services to organizations in the areas of efficiency improvement, workforce development, and applied technology, while AME focuses primarily on sharing best practices among practitioners and companies for process improvement, standardized management systems, and organizational development. The two will work together to plan, promote and execute events that serve their mutual purpose of developing, improving, and expanding manufacturing and supply chains in North America.

"Our alliance with AME will broaden our reach, and advance our goal to improve competitiveness and foster growth of manufacturing," noted Robert Torrani, Director of Manufacturing and Supply Chain Initiatives at CCAT. "Through events, publications and sharing of best practices, we hope to provide opportunities for organizational development to manufacturers across the region."

"We are very excited about the value our partnership with CCAT will bring to our members," said Scott Gauvin, AME President Northeast. "The depth of CCAT's industry insight and legacy of innovation will only strengthen our members' efforts to up level their organizations' performance."
