Matthew Cohen - Board Member

Matt serves as Vice President of Research and Development for Medtronic’s Minimally Invasive Technologies Group, a leading $30 billion global healthcare product company with 85,000 employees located in more than 160 countries. Matt has been developing innovative technologies in the medical device industry for nearly 26 years focused on surgical technologies in minimally invasive laparoscopy, mechanical and intelligent instrumentation, biodegradable implants and wound closure devices. Matt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Hartford where he currently serves as Vice Chairman of CETA’s Board of Visitors.

He also serves on Yale University’s CBIT Executive Board and the UConn Venture and Investment Advisory Board, which includes Technology Innovation Program (TIP). Matt holds 15 US patents, with multiple patents pending.
