Connecticut has pumped $850,000 into a New Haven biotech developing a test kit for leaking brain and spinal fluid.
Connecticut Innovations Inc.'s stake was part of a investment round of more than $1 million in Affinimark Technologies Inc. LauncCapital also was a participant.
Affinimark's Cerebrostrip kits are is used to detect leaking fluid caused by injury to the brain and/or spinal cord due to surgery or accident.
CI obtained a seat on Affinimark's board.
