Marina Cunningham - Board Member

Marina Cunningham is a managing partner of McCormick, Paulding and Huber and holds BS in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University, MS from MIT, and JD from University of Connecticut. Ms. Cunningham worked as design supervisor for AT&T Bell Laboratories and in-house IP counsel for United Technologies Corporation.

Ms. Cunningham is the past Chair of the Board of Directors for MIT Enterprise Forum® of Connecticut; Co-Chair of Technology and IP Committee for Hartford County Bar Association; Advisory Board Member for UCONN School of Law IP Clinic; and current board member for the American Heart Association, Inns of Court, and IP Section of the Connecticut Bar Association.  Ms. Cunningham chairs an IP Office Practice & Procedures Committee at AIPPI. Ms. Cunningham is also an adjunct professor of law at the UCONN School of Law.

Ms. Cunningham has extensive experience in domestic and foreign patent issues, trademarks, transactional matters, and litigation. Ms. Cunningham is also a frequent presenter at various industry meetings and events, most recently at the AIPPI Annual Meeting in Sydney, Australia on the topic “What is the (technical) Problem.” Ms. Cunningham is fluent in Russian and Ukrainian.
