The TNS Group Company Profile

The Connecticut Technology Council posed the following questions to Ashish Deshpande, CEO of frevvo.

  • How would you describe the products or services your company provides?

frevvo develops and sells the Live Forms software that makes it easy and affordable for businesses to design/create/deploy electronic forms and approval workflows.

Many organizations today are trying to reduce paper use and the most tangible savings are achieved by replacing manual paper processes with online forms and documents. Live Forms is an innovative internet application for easily collecting information over the web. Live Forms requires just a web browser and requires no programming knowledge to get started.

Live Form’s intuitive “drag-and-drop” interface and built-in business capabilities, including business rules, digital signatures and multi-page forms gives non-technical users the ability to create simple forms in a matter of minutes.
Working together with partners, frevvo has helped organizations across several industries design, collect, approve and manage their information online. frevvo markets and sells products and services through a network of Value-Added Resellers who provide local business support. These certified product experts match business needs with product capabilities and provide hands-on support to help businesses achieve their goals.
Frevvo’s 2010 focus was document management including partnerships with Westbrook Technologies of Branford and Digitech Systems of Denver CO.

  • Who are your competitors and how does your company distinguish itself from them?

Live Forms offers capabilities comparable to far more expensive offerings such as Microsoft Office InfoPath/Forms Server and Autonomy’s Liquid Office in an easy-to-use, Web 2.0 package.

Live Forms is platform neutral and is available in hosted (Live Forms Online) Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and in-house on premise (Live Forms In-house) versions. Live Forms Online requires zero installation. Live Forms In-house is simple to install (five minutes) and use, and works with existing IT systems and data whether they're Microsoft-based or not. A single low-cost license or low monthly fee permits customers to use frevvo forms for their Intranet as well as Extranet applications.

  • What are the biggest business opportunities in your market over the next 12 months ?

Many large universities and businesses deployed Live Forms in 2010. The biggest opportunities are in the verticals of Health Care, Education, Government and Human Resources.

These institutions spend a substantial amount of money purchasing, filling and storing paper forms. A 2010 partnership with Digitech Systems added electronic document storage capabilities to Live Forms.

As organizations increasingly rely on the Web as the primary means of interaction with customers, businesses are emphasizing the capture and management of information through electronic channels. Easy-to-use, business capable Web forms are a critical aspect of this interaction.

  • What do you view as the greatest business challenge facing your company in the next twelve months?

The current economic climate is both hurts and helps frevvo. Prospects are slower to make purchasing decisions. However as business try to reduce costs frevvo can be a factor in reducing costs. Organizations continue to invest in technology that boosts their corporate efficiency.

For example, a hospital receives patient referrals from their out-of-network doctors. The hospital had three FTEs handling the referral forms faxed in from the doctors -- manually re-keying the data into their hospital patient intake system and manually scanning the paper forms into their document management system. Often times they have to call back the doctor to correct missing and/or illegible data hand written onto the form.

frevvo replaced their error prone manual paper based process with an eform submitted electronically from the doctor’s office. The eform instantly validates the data entered into the form. The eform is sent electronically to the hospital and is automatically archived into the hospital’s document management system. This process has eliminated errors, reduced costs and improved efficiency.
