Fast 50 Awards
The Deloitte Connecticut Technology Fast 50 annually recognized the fastest-growing companies within the geographic boundaries of Connecticut, from 1997 to 2007. In 2008, the Connecticut Technology Council created the Tech Top 40, an awards program for technology companies that measures and recognizes growth. The Tech Top 40 focuses exclusively on Connecticut, while the Fast 50 is a tri-state competition that encompaases New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. The awards are based on percentage revenue growth over a five-year period.
To be considered, Technology Fast 50 entrants had to have operating revenues of at least $50,000 at the beginning and at least $5,000,000 at the end of the five year period, be headquartered in Connecticut, own proprietary technology or proprietary intellectual property that contributes to a significant portion of its operating revenues, or devote a significant proportion of revenues to the research and development of technology.
