Connecticut Technology Council Launches
Insurance Benefits Program for Member Companies

July 22, 2005 -The Connecticut Technology Council (CTC) now offers an Insurance Benefits Program to help its members obtain the targeted business insurance, health care and employee benefits solutions they need to stabilize escalating costs, attract and retain key staff and meet statutory requirements.

Program partners include: The NIA Group, LLC, one of the country’s largest privately held insurance brokers, for customized business insurance and health care benefits; PRBAdministrators Incorporated, a U. S. leader in employee benefits, retirement planning and 401-k solutions and related plans, WorksiteAdvisors, LLC for a range of voluntary benefits for employees and Healthcare InsuranceSolutions, LLC, specializing in Long Term Care Insurance.

“Obtaining quality business insurance, health care and employee benefits programs - while keeping costs in check - is a common challenge for today’s technology companies,” notes Matthew Nemerson, President and CEO of the CTC. “We felt it was our responsibility to provide services and solutions that can help members address these problems head on. We also wanted to give our members access to resources that we trust, and that have a sound track record serving technology businesses.”

A core goal of CTC’s Insurance Benefits Program is to help member companies stabilize their spiraling health insurance costs using innovative practices like consumer-driven health care and wellness and disease management. The NIA Group, LLC, will spearhead this initiative, as well as offer more traditional health plans that can be tailored to meet individual members’ needs. All program partners will collaborate and host regularly occurring seminars in order to provide companies and their employees with the information they need to make sound business insurance and employee benefits decisions
