Connection Concepts’ DataPortal™ special IBM webcast introduces Instant “data” Messaging without uneeded extra development. DataPortal™ Product Version 1.2 was demonstrated during the 31 minute webinar.

Hartford , CT , November 15, 2005. Connection Concepts, Inc. of Hartford Connecticut and Washington, DC, has teamed with IBM and their business partner Raindance to demonstrate their unique product DataPortal, ( www.data-portal.biz) a product that enables the immediate exchange of business data over the Web without a developmental effort.

IBM hosted a special e-seminar last Tuesday, October 18 th that demonstrated DataPortal to a select group of industry professionals in financial, industrial and government areas. Many of the questions that followed the event prompted Connection Concepts to make the webinar available to those that are unfamiliar with this new and dynamic solution, starting with their strong business alliances within the IBM organization. Connection Concepts is an IBM Business Partner.

President and CEO of Connection Concepts Gary Whitten explains that “ DataPortal can provide a standardized business communication channel that facilitates the integration and automation of business systems and processes without the standard need for databases.

“Setting a new standard ”
DataPortal has set a new standard for exchanging business data over the Web, effortlessly and immediately, without development, over the World Wide Web.” Whitten said, going in depth. “Although many products exist for data integration, they are primarily tools to aid data and database development. DataPortal requires no development to simply exchange business data. DataPortal is a “plug and play” solution directly for the customer that can be implemented by the end user – no middleman or “integrator” is required.

DataPortal transfers a database over the Web in its entirety, including both structure and content, from a source Database to the destination database without development or prior knowledge of the source Database.” Whitten continued. Whitten says that similar to the document-centric web, DataPortal can be used to publish a complete database residing in any supported, standards-compliant Database system. “The published Database can be transferred, by an authorized client, to any other supported, standards-compliant target Database”, he said.

During the webinar, Whitten demonstrated the various ways DataPortal provides an instant exchange of data, moving business information as simply as sending an Instant Message. He gave a case study regarding Connection Concepts client Sikosky Aircraft, demonstrating how the product was customized and developed for Sikorsky. “Sikorsky fared very well with DataPortal. They were able to maintain their influx of manufacturing data effortlessly on a daily and hourly basis by using the product.” Whitten also says, “Having worked with Sikorsky was where DataPortal became a vital tool to drive business data without the need for the traditional database.”
