ServTrax
PO Box 374, Botsford, CT 06404
Presenter: Herbert Young, NE Region Business Development Director

Organizations face the ongoing introduction of tangible and non-tangible assets into their business environments on a daily basis. One of today’s biggest challenges, to already overburdened IT departments, is effectively managing and accounting for the service and equipment assets represented in their dynamic environments. Historically, the tools available to help organizations address the daunting task of asset management have been one dimensional. While capable of accounting for tangible assets that can be “tagged”, they lack the ability to account for and manage the intangible assets that present themselves in the form of licenses or contracts. While tangible assets often depreciate over their life-cycle, intangible assets generally increase in cost on an annual basis. ServTrax's approach to asset management is quite different. Managing and accounting for the intangible assets allow customers to fully understand the comprehensive cost of an asset to their organization. The management of the tangible or “tagged” becomes a by-product of management of intangibles assets.
