Angel Investing Jumps with State Tax Credit
01/12/12 - Hartford Courant -
The Connecticut legislature's 2010 jobs package bill allowed angel investors who put $100,000 into small Connecticut tech/science startups to deduct a quarter of that investment from state income taxes. "There is an explosion in entrepreneurship and people want to get in on it," said Matthew Nemerson, Connecticut Technology Council CEO, which has been lobbying for angel investor tax credits for over five years.
