Company Profile

Telesis, LLC is the leading software testing and quality assurance company in the Northeast, with 13 years of functional software testing experience and 350+ client engagements. Telesis' clients are companies launching mission critical software that MUST work correctly in production. Their revenue depends upon it. Our clients are unable to compromise on business initiatives; their software must be thoroughly and accurately tested, the first time.

Telesis specializes in automating the most challenging software testing. Our average client ROI is 89% in reduced testing time, with a 350% decrease in production business errors. For one health care insurer, we condensed a week's worth of manual testing into a half day.

Telesis focuses primarily on two market segments: (1) financial institutions in the Northeast, including insurance companies and health insurers, and (2) software companies. Approximately 87% of Telesis, LLC's work comes from existing clients.

Competitors
Our competitors are organizations that do software test consulting, from small software test companies to the outsource giants. A second level of competition is the in-house QA departments in companies that believe they can do it themselves.

Telesis distinguishes itself from its competitors in two ways. First, our competitors focus on how well the software is built (the developer's perspective), spending lots of time re-building software and re-testing programming logic. Telesis focuses on the way the software works (the end user's perspective). Does the software do what the end user needs it to do?

Second, Telesis's competitors offer a portion of a complete solution - typically, consulting services. Telesis, however, offers a complete solution, which includes (1) establishing automation procedures around what is unique to the business; (2) configuring the application, so it can automatically generate test scripts; and (3) providing proprietary automation software.

Biggest Business Opportunities
Any company that spends significant dollars producing or implementing software must make sure it is thoroughly and accurately tested before the software is used. A 2002 NIST study found that software bugs cost the US economy $59.5 billion, while USA Today reports that annual cost at $100 billion. More than one-third of this cost could be avoided if there is better software testing. According to Economist magazine, "An industry rule of thumb is that a bug which costs $1 to fix on a programmer's desktop costs $100 to fix once it is incorporated into a build and thousands of dollars if it is identified only after the software has been deployed in the field." Economist, March 6, 2008.

Business challenges
Telesis has always had a loyal client base. In this business climate, while our clients continue to be keenly interested in using our services and products, they are bumping up against internally funding challenges.

To help our clients overcome this hurdle, we offer to automate 100 test scripts for free and give them back for free, as a proof of concept. In this way, our clients build an ROI for their projects.
