In October 2009, the Connecticut Technology Council launched its CEO Peer Track. The Peer Track meets the fourth Thursday of the month, except in August and December. Its participants are the Presidents or CEOs of tech companies whose revenue is at least $3M per year. The Council defines these size companies as mid-size companies. The CEOs can come from any technology vertical. The meetings run from 8:00 to 10:30 in the morning and are held at The Farms County Club in Wallingford. The meetings are intended to help the CEOs solve some of their more vexing business issues using the collective experience and knowledge of the participating CEOs. Subject matter experts are occasionally invited to present on a topic of interest to the group.
Why meet with other CEOs?
The advantages of belonging to a Peer Group include:
There is a modest fee to participate. If interested contact Mike Scricca, who helps facilitate the meetings at 860-289-0878 x 334 or mscricca@ct.org.
A second group of CEOs who are from smaller companies and who represent, in large part, the leaders of tech start-ups also meet monthly. Read more about this group below.
Start-ups to Small Companies
Peer to Peer Roundtable
Participating CEOs/ Presidents come from small and emerging tech companies, revenues less than $3M per year.
Facilitator: Jack Antonich, jantonich@ct.org
The monthly meetings last for two hours in the morning, usually the second Thursday of each month.
This monthly CEO Peer-to-Peer Roundtable has been established to allow CEOs to network and the opportunity to discuss business issues and challenges. The forum allows for the experience and knowledge of the group to solve or suggest solutions to the issues brought to the monthly meetings. The CEO, Peer to Peer group determines group objectives, meeting format and structure, topic selection, and venue selection. Previous topics have been:
• How do we effectively motivate and retain top performers?
• How are we successfully building business this year in a tough economy?
